answer novel's questions

#1. In the end of the novel, Taylor will get marry with Jax, and still live with Turtle However, Turtle just lives with Taylor during the time she goes to school. In the summer time, she will come back to Oklahoma and live with her grandfather- Cash and her grandmother- Alice because Alice and Cash will get married. Annawake will call, go to visit her brother- Gabe and bring him back to Oklahoma- to his tribe.
#2. The main theme of this story is the reflection of the miracle life of Native American people, the unfairness in dealing of white people to Cherokee people. The Cherokee people were forced to move to a poor land- where didn't have water also couldn't plant any crop. Beside the movement to poor land, the Cherokee people were also suffered the losing of their children. The children had to study abroad when they were in the age to go to school. For example, Cash's story about his life when studying abroad. He couldn't come back to join in his mother's funeral. Moreover, to children whose parents were alcoholic. The English government would take them away their real mother and let them be adopted by white family- such as the situation of Annawake's brother- Gabe. The children of Cherokee tribe easily forgot the culture of their tribe, the image of their native family, and the birth- mother's language and tended to live as a white people.
#3.I think her new interpretation is her changing thought about the relationship between the relative in the family to their children. In the myth of pigs in heaven that she told to Jax, I thought the mother would be very satisfied with what she did to her children because they were very lazy, so they deserved to received that treatment. However, I thought the mother was very cruel. When Annawake retold that story, I realize that the mother was very love her children because after her wish, she felt very regretful and begged the spirits to return her children. That is also the moral for every one that parents are always the first persons available forgive you whenever you did wrong thing. May be they will beat you or force you to do what ever they think is right for you, but the simple explanation for that is because they love you too much. Such as the love of Taylor for Turtle, even thought she doesn't want to lose Turtle, she still let her return to her tribe because she realizes that it is the best decision for Turtle. She thought about the best benefit for Turtle first instead of for herself and it is the reality of a mother's love.
#4.I would like to recommend this book to my friend even though it is a thick book.:)
Still, reading this book, one can understand more about the miracle life of Native American in the past, the belief, myth and culture of Cherokee people, learn more about the moral in the myth of the pigs in heaven and think more about the love of a mother- who is just an adoptive mother.

My definition about a happy couple

Looking two elder persons holding hand in hand, going to the supermarket reminds me the image of my grandparents. They got married when they were twenty years old. Differing from elder people in the past, their marriage wasn't arranged by their parents. They knew and felt in love when they were going to the army; therefore, their relationship is very stable. After getting marriage, my grandfather left the army and began driving pedicab to earn money for new family.Meanwhile, my grand mother collapsed fruit, vegetable and chickens in the farm then sold them in the big city. Sometime she had to stay in the big city many days because of the war or waiting to sell all of her stuff .Both of my grandparents worked very hard with the hope to have enough food for their children, but the income for the family was still very low and their life was very difficult. Despite of eating miserable, working hardly, my grandparents still tried to let their children go to school. Fortunately, their children studied very well and tried to help their parents in doing house work too. Although living with my grandfather was very hard, my grandmother never felt pity because of getting married with my grandfather. She used to talk with me that she was the most happy woman on the world when meeting my grandfather. If you looked at them, for certain, you wouldn't think they had a good relationship. Not like many happy couple you think, their love is very gentle. My grand mother always wakes up very early to prepare food and coffee for my grandfather. Not as a duty of a house wife, she does it full fill of her love. Working very hard in the market, my grandmother still tried to come back home soon to prepare lunch for my grand father. Despite of sunny or rainy, my grandfather still tried to come back home on time to enjoy the lunch. When my grandfather got sick, my grandmother was take care of him very careful and patient even though sometimes when he was tired, he was very angry with her. Before my grandfather had died, my grandmother sat beside him, hold his hands- that is the first time i saw they expressed their relationship directly. My grandfather looked at her and sang a song when he proposed her. Everyone was crying except my grandmother so that made me very curious. After my grandfather died, my grand mother still wakes up very early in the morning, cooks meal, prepares coffee and put them on the table waiting my grandfather soul's come back to eat them. I can't understand why she didn't cry when my grandfather singing the song and don't want to ask her about the reason, but i think that maybe because my grandfather's voice and face are shaped in my grandmother's heart so although he died but his soul mate will live forever in my grandmother's mind. I think a happy couple doesn't have to have too much romantic relationship but simply, it is just the understanding between two people, concerning together and having good children together.
