Things I Would Teach My Child
What i would teach my children is a matter that i always think about. I have a niece, and she is very cute. Her parents love her very much, so they will satisfy everything that she demands. For example, if my niece doesn't like the meal which her mother prepared, she won't eat it,and then her parents immediately will buy another one for her.
I don't like the way which my nephew is taught. However, it doesn't mean that if your child doesn't like something, you have to force them to like it.In the same way, when I was a child,if I didn't like to eat something and as soon as my mother didn't pay attention, I would throw it in the garbage and tell her that I finished. Unfortunately, in one day, my mother saw that. She was very angry not only because I waste the food, but also because i lay her.At that moment, i thought my mother would beat me very hard, but she didn't.
With the hopeless eyes, she looked at me and said that she was very shame and sad because of my action. She told me that every days had a lot of people didn't have enough food to eat,so they had to collect the excess food of other people, meanwhile, i could have a good meal but i throw it and then lay about that.
Realizing about my fault, I was sorry my mother and felt very disappointed about what i did. My mother also often satisfies my demand, but not all. Even though she has a high position in her office and a high salary, but she never makes me feel that.

She bought for me very simple clothes and a bicycle to go to school. Can you believe that in my closet just had ten shirts and five trousers? Anyways, but it is the truth. It doesn't mean that my mother doesn't love me; she always played with me and my younger sister even sometimes, she bit my face^^ or tore my shirt. Maybe you will think my mother is strange, but just because the way she expresses her love is very strong.
i think in the future i would treat my kids as the same way as my mother did. I would satisfy every things that my kids deserve, but not all of them. I would teach them to realize the value of things which my kids have and regard those things. Moreover, maybe I would play with them as the same way as my mother did.^^

Hi, Ty. Thanks for replying on my blog. (You're so kind T_T) You know what? Of course I like your writing, your thoughts. It includes your kind personality.

While reading your journal, I was surprised because I also have almost same experiance. At that time, not only my mother, but also my family member reproved me. Actually, it's one of my nightmare source. Still I hate cucumber (yes! That is most irritated food in my life;;), but I have tried to eat this long and green vesetable. I'm afraid that if my daughter or son make fun of me and follow my bad habit. :-)

Moreover, I really apologize today's mistake. Because I was sleepy, I can't listen to voice which is from call. Becasue I know you tried to tell me several times, I really feel sorry. Kayaking was canceled. However, maybe next time, activity center will hold again.

See you Monday! and Have a nice weeken!

Hi Ty - I totally agree with what you have written. A friend of mine was spoiled as a child, and whenever he didn't want to eat what his parents had cooked, one of them would go cook something else. This meant that he never really expanded the list of things that he would eat.

What I remember is that when we were in college, he seemed to eat like a child. He would only eat things that 6-year-old would eat.

Now he's married, and his wife refuses to cook special things for him. If he doesn't like what she cooks, he must cook for himself or go hungry. Finally, he recognizes the effort that cooking takes, and he is slowly learning to try other things.

He should have learned this as a child and saved himself and others a lot of bother!

    your score: 20/20
